The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC) would like to remind grantseekers that the deadline for four currently available TFEC grant opportunities, below, is February 1, 2017.

Camp Hill Community Foundation—the Camp Hill Community Foundation (CHCF), is a regional foundation of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, whose strategic grantmaking focus is to invest in innovative, collaborative approaches and solutions to community problems, and to support projects that have the potential for the greatest impact on the quality of life and positive outcomes for individuals and families living in Camp Hill.

Family and Children Services of Lebanon County—Family and Children’s Services of Lebanon County, a fund of TFEC, supports nonprofit social service agencies that serve families and children in Lebanon County.

The Kids Trust—The Kids Trust, a fund of TFEC, was created in 2005 by and in memory of Gary L. Houck, Jr. Gary’s wish before his death was to create a fund that would provide support and services to young children who are living with physical or emotional abuse, or neglect. This grant opportunity is for nonprofit organizations providing programs and services for children of abuse and their families in the counties of Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York.

Perry County Community Foundation—the Perry County Community Foundation (PCCF), is a regional foundation of TFEC, whose strategic grantmaking focus is to invest in innovative, collaborative approaches and solutions to community problems, with the goal of funding programs and services with the potential for the greatest impact on the quality of life and positive outcomes for individuals and families living in Perry County.

Within this grant cycle, applicants will be notified of their status in June 2017 and proposed projects may take place at any time between July 1, 2017 -June 30, 2018. In addition, as previously announced, all TFEC grant opportunities now fall into 1 of 2 grant cycles, listed below, and interested applicants may learn more about the parameters of each grant opportunity and TFEC grantmaking at www.tfec.org.

Applications Available October 1, 2016; February 1, 2017 deadline

  • Camp Hill Community Foundation, Family and Children Services of Lebanon County, The Kids Trust, and the Perry County Community Foundation
  • Applicants will be notified of their status in June 2017
  • Proposed projects may take place at any time between July 1, 2017 -June 30, 2018

Applications Available April 1, 2017; August 1, 2017 deadline

  • Arts for All Partnership, Franklin County Foundation, Mechanicsburg Area Foundation, Greater Harrisburg Foundation Special Initiative, Greater Harrisburg Foundation: Our Challenge for Giving, The Martin M. Sacks Memorial Fund, and The Women’s Fund
  • Applicants will be notified of their status in December 2017
  • Proposed projects may take place at any time between Jan 1, 2018-Dec 31, 2018

Eligible applicants must have 501c3 status or demonstrate nonprofit status as a church or school. Applicants may apply to multiple grant opportunities, but may not submit more than one grant to each opportunity. TFEC grantmaking does not fund individuals, capital campaigns, religious organizations for the propagation of religious doctrine, advertising, direct lobbying to influence legislation, or retroactive projects.
