Criteria
Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Junior or senior student from Harrisburg -John Harris high school, Sci-Tech high school, Steelton-Highspire high school.
- Plans to attend HACC to take academic or college-prep courses while still in high school
- Essay
- Supplemental documents. This may include a resume, letter(s) of recommendation, transcript, FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR), or other scholarship-specific documents. Specific requirements are noted in the application.
Essay
- Essay 1: Please answer the following question: Describe the financial, personal, and educational difficulties you have overcome in order to be in a position to be successful.
- Essay 2: Please answer the following question: Describe your outreach and involvement in your community, and how this demonstrates your ability to think of others before yourself. Examples can include such actions as helping neighbors, helping to clean up the neighborhood, etc.

This scholarship is a one-time only award.
