Jerry Bennett Memorial Scholarship Fund

Born in 1962 in McConnellsburg, PA and raised in rural Mercersburg, Jerry was an accomplished musician and songwriter. He was chosen at an early age by his hometown minister who noted that his hands were going to be used to do the work of the Lord. He graduated from James Buchanan High School in 1980 and went on to pursue his love of music. He accomplished his dreams and goals through his music career from meeting his “heroes” in the gospel music industry, sharing the stage with many, to getting to know them as personal friends. Jerry touched many lives across the United States and into Canada with his music and with this scholarship fund to benefit students at James Buchanan High School, he can continue to touch people’s lives and make a difference.
