Sue & Ken Dyer Foundation Travel Scholarship

The Sue and Ken Dyer Foundation Travel Scholarship is an endowment fund of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities from which the income is used to assist students with travel expenses for educational or service trips. The Sue and Ken Dyer Foundation Travel Scholarship will award travel scholarships in an amount up to $2,500. Award recipients will be required to submit a final report describing their travel experience.

Criteria

  1. Juniors or seniors enrolled at one of the following schools: Cedar Cliff, Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg, Trinity, or Harrisburg Academy 
  2. Purpose of the travel must be for educational purposes or service (mission trips are excluded)  
  3. Character of the applicant 
  4. Financial need 
  5. Essay
  6. Supplemental documents. This may include a resume, letter(s) of recommendation, transcript, FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR), or other scholarship-specific documents. Specific requirements are noted in the application

Essay

Describe the purpose of your proposed trip and what you expect to gain from the experience. Essay should be titled, 300 words maximum.

Renewability

This scholarship is a one-time only award.
