Sarah’s Project – Pollination & Prayer Garden

Hello! My name is Sarah, and I’m creating a pollination and prayer garden at my church for my Girl Scout Gold Award. Being a scout since five, the environment and it’s wildlife have always been important to me. Now with working at a butterfly sanctuary my passion and appreciation for the outdoors and all it’s living creatures has grown even more. Unfortunately however, pollinators numbers have gone down in recent years which is not good since without pollinators many of our plants, flowers, and food sources will decrease as well.

This has inspired me to create a garden where important pollinators such as birds, bees, butterflies and more can flourish. With help, I can create a peaceful garden that will not only give local community members an outdoor space to reflect, pray, and relax but offer a place for locals to tune in with themselves and nature. It is my hope to not only provide a home for local pollinators, which will help the community garden that it is next to it, but also to educate people on their importance. Any donations or help is truly appreciated as together we can make a long-lasting difference in the community and the environment. Thank-you!
