Career Catalyst Award Scholarship

The Career Catalyst Award will assist graduating high school seniors from the service region of the Cumberland Perry Area Career and Technical Center who are pursuing additional education, training, or certification to prepare for purposeful employment in their chosen career pathway. This award supports students who are motivated to shape their career journey and who demonstrate promising leadership qualities, passion, tenacity, and resilience.

The Career Catalyst Award was established by its sponsor Karyn Vandervoort to invest in the future workforce by empowering students committed to continued learning and professional growth. Through this award, Ms. Vandervoort seeks to remove financial barriers and serve as a catalyst for students as they transition from high school to meaningful career opportunities.

4. Leadership Experience
5. Involvement Community
6. GPA of 2.0 to 3.0
7. Demonstrates Financial Need
8. Supplemental Documentation: This may include a resume, letter(s) of recommendation (optional), transcript, FASFA Student Aid Report (SAR), or other scholarship-specific documents. Specific requirements are noted in the application.

Essay

Please provide a two-paragraph description (not to exceed 300 words) outlining your ambition to become a leader in your chosen career field. Include specific examples that demonstrate how your goals align with the purpose of the scholarship. Describe the reasons you chose this field and explain where you see yourself in five years.
