The Caitlin Hornung Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Caitlin Hornung Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the life of Caitlin Hornung by helping to fund a student to pursue a degree in social work, counseling, psychology, behavior science or human services.

Preference is given to students who have/are battling a chronic, acute, life-threatening condition.

Criteria

  1. Student should be a graduating high school senior from Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lebanon, Perry Counties or the Dillsburg area
  2. Student should be attending school for social work, counseling, psychology, behavior science or human services.
  3. Special consideration is given to students who have/are battling a chronic, acute, life-threatening condition. Award Amount
  4. Full-time or part-time attendance at a 4-year college, 2-year college, trade or technical school or enrolled in a certificate program
  5. GPA of 2.5 required
  6. Must submit two letters of recommendation: One from a school counselor and One from a community member/mentor
  7. Financial need

Essay required of 300 words or fewer: What inspired you to pursue a career in social work or human services, and how did your experiences shape this decision?

This scholarship is a one-time only award.
