Thad G. Gayman Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Thad G. Gayman Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to memorialize Thad Gayman, an alumni from Northern York High School who passed this life at age 23 on May 17th, 2015 as the result of assisting an individual of domestic violence. Thad also graduated from HACC’s GM-ASEP Program in 2012.

Thad worked at Lawrence Chevrolet as a service technician as a requirement of the GM-ASEP Program and continued his employment there until October of 2014. In November, 2014, Thad started working at Alcoa as a Mobile Equipment Mechanic in Lancaster, PA until his sudden passing in May.

Thad had an energetic spirit. He thrived on helping others and spending time with his friends. His passion was cars, especially his 2015 Volkswagen GTI and his 1997 Triumph Daytona T595. He also loved snowboarding, playing video games, and hunting and fishing with his dad. Thad loved talking with others and making friends everywhere he went. Thad has touched many lives, and he left a lot of memories with many people.

To preserve and celebrate Thad’s memory and perpetuate his love of life, this fund has been established to support students with a scholarship to study as a full-time automotive technician student.
