As CASA welcomes the largest group of students in its history, we are in need of upgrading our student technology. At our School, students are issued a Chromebook that they use to access their course materials, communicate with their teachers, interact with each other, and complete their curricular work. With the arrival of our new students for the incoming school year, we will be at our maximum enrollment number for the first time in our history (205).
To support our students, we are planning to initiate a refreshment cycle for our student technology assets. We estimate needing approximately $70,000 to begin the process with the incoming freshman class. The support of TFEC and the greater community will greatly and positively impact our operations and allow us to begin the refresh cycle for our students and continue it for the foreseeable future, while we maintain the program excellence in each of the arts disciplines and our academic subjects.
How does this support assist you in advancing your mission?
This support will directly advance CASA’s mission to provide a rigorous, high-quality arts and academic education to Central Pennsylvania’s most talented and diverse students. By funding upgrades to essential equipment and materials across our six arts disciplines, this support will enhance student learning, expand creative expression, and strengthen our Integrated Arts curriculum. These resources are critical to ensuring equitable access to professional-grade tools and experiences, preparing students for college, careers in the arts, and lifelong creative engagement.
This funding will play a vital role in advancing CASA’s mission to provide exceptional arts-integrated education to students across Central Pennsylvania—many of whom would not otherwise have access to this level of specialized instruction and professional-grade resources. Because CASA receives only partial funding from school districts, this support helps bridge the gap between student need and opportunity.
By upgrading essential equipment across our six arts disciplines, this grant ensures that students from economically diverse backgrounds can fully engage in hands-on, high-quality arts education. It empowers them to explore their creativity, build technical skills, and prepare for competitive careers and college programs in the arts. Ultimately, this support helps level the playing field—allowing every student, regardless of background, to thrive artistically and academically.
Our mission is to provide students with a rich, rigorous, arts-infused high school program that enables them to succeed in college and careers. All children that walk through our doors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in their art while progressing through their high school career. At a time when arts education seeks a way to survive the many fiscal and organizational challenges in our public schools, CASA is an oasis for all our students and staff in each of our six arts disciplines.
