Every day, I see that lasting change happens when people come together to strengthen our communities and inspire new opportunities. That spirit of connection is at the heart of everything we do at The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, and it is what we will celebrate at our upcoming events this fall.

Each of these gatherings is more than a date on the calendar. They are moments to celebrate the impact of collective philanthropy, to connect with others who share your passion for community and to explore opportunities to engage more deeply in making a difference.

On Thursday, Sept. 4, we will gather on the West Shore for Celebrating Community Impact in Mechanicsburg, an evening recognizing the good that happens when a community foundation and organizations work side by side. Just a few weeks later, on Friday, Sept. 19, Nonprofit Day at the Broad Street Market will highlight the many nonprofits serving our region and offer a chance to meet the people behind their important work.

In October, we invite you to join us for Celebrating Community Investment in Franklin County on Thursday, Oct. 9, where we will highlight the generational giving that continues to improve lives every day. On Friday, Oct. 24, our One Million Strong celebration will shine a spotlight on the Fund for Women and Girls and the progress being made to ensure women and girls have the resources to thrive.

Finally, on Monday, Dec. 8, we will close the year with Inspire & Ignite, an event designed to honor the power of philanthropy and spark new ideas for how we can take action together.

I encourage you to visit our events page to learn more and register. By attending, you will see firsthand the remarkable impact that collective giving creates and join a growing network of people dedicated to building stronger communities.

In addition to our own events, TFEC will be engaging with the public at partner events across our region. These occasions allow us to invite everyone to see themselves as philanthropists, to share the impact of our scholarship programs and to grow TFEC’s presence as a resource for the communities we serve. This fall, you will see us at:

  • Market on Market on Tuesday, Sept. 2 in Cumberland County
  • Harrisburg School District Annual Grandparents’ Day on Saturday, Sept. 6 in Dauphin County
  • Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday, Sept. 13 in Dauphin County
  • LGBT Center BIPOC Conference on Friday, Sept. 26 in Dauphin County
  • Tuscarora Chamber 46th Annual Townfest on Saturday, Sept. 27 in Franklin County
  • Penn State Harrisburg UWCR Family Resource Fair on Saturday, Oct. 4 in Dauphin County
  • Perry County Chamber How To on Wednesday, Oct. 8 in Perry County
  • Franklin Pride on Sunday, Oct. 12 in Franklin County

Warmly,
