As a lifelong Harrisburg native, Walter Shearer was a founding partner of Shearer, Mette and Hoerner. He practiced municipal bond law for 52 years and also served as president of the Dauphin County Bar Association. After retiring in 1988, he accepted the position of counsel at Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott. Doris Shearer is a retired medical technician from Harrisburg Hospital. The Shearer's and their children will use this fund to support their numerous charitable interests.
