Biology, Pre-med

Why did you choose that major?

I chose to major in Biology, Pre-med, because I have always had an interest in science and everything related to the medical field. My ultimate goal has always been to become a doctor and start saving lives, not just locally, but also around the world. I knew that by earning a degree in science (biology) that it would serve as the gateway to that ultimate goal and journey.

What year in college are you?

Sophomore

What is your favorite thing about the school you’re attending?

My favorite thing about Albright College is how everyone is so helpful and caring. It feels like a family; like being at home.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I like to engage myself in sports, like running and tennis, and spend quality time with my loved ones.

What are your goals?

My goals are to complete four years of college at Albright College, in order to get my bachelor’s degree in Biology, Pre-med. Then, take and pass the MCATs to attend medical school for four more years. Lastly, specialize in my area of interest in the medical field and start my career journey helping others in need.

What does this scholarship mean to you?

This scholarship is very meaningful to me since I am a student who needs financial aid in order to afford college and make my goals a reality. It has helped me a lot affording my post-secondary education and given me the opportunity to freely focus on my studies.

How do you plan to pay it forward as a recipient of this scholarship?

As a recipient of this scholarship, I plan on paying it forward by going out and getting my college degree, not only for myself, but most importantly, to come back and help my community
