This endowment supports the facilities and programs of Wildwood Park, part of Dauphin County's Department of Parks and Recreation. The Park's mission is to enhance the quality of life in our community through educational programs and recreational opportunities. By protecting and managing open space, and by interpreting natural, cultural and historic resources, we contribute to the economic vitality of Dauphin County and to the health of citizens in the greater Harrisburg area. Among the facilities and programs this endowment supports are:
- The Benjamin Olewine III Nature Center
- Management of Wildwood Park's 230 acre wetland environment
- Six miles of nature trails and accessible boardwalks
- Environmental education to 15,000 children each year
- Diverse Public Programs Including:
- Photo Contest
- Lecture Series
- Art In The Wild
- Wetlands Festival
- Celebrate Wildwood
- Walk for Wildwood
- Guided nature walks
- Nature camps
