ABOUT THE EVENT

On September 14th, from 12pm-9pm at Lakeshore Park, we are hosting “MOVEment for Mamas” to benefit Upstream’s Pillars with Purpose Benevolent Fund for Family and Children Welfare AND Helping Mamas Knoxville (HMK). Helping Mamas Knoxville is a non-profit organization serving over 13,000 clients through their partnership with 60+ agencies, providing families with over 580,000 needed items. These donations have allowed parents to provide for their babies safely, and help themselves, in a world where every day necessities are difficult for them to obtain. Three out of five parents struggle with diaper needs and 22% of children in Tennessee are living in poverty. One in three families have to decide between food and diapers, and because diapers are considered a luxury item, they are not covered by food stamps or other government assistance.

We need you. Help us make a difference in the lives of families within our community.

Join us as we host “MOVEment for Mamas” at Lakeshore Park from 12pm -9pm on September 14th, offering fitness classes for all ages throughout the day. Food trucks will be on site and we will be collecting donations in the form of cash (check or online options) as well as any of the specific items below:

  1. Period products
  2. Baby wipes
  3. Baby hygiene items (shampoo, baby wash)
  4. Car seats
  5. Pack n plays
    *All items must be new*
