Grantseeker Resources

How can we help?

Individuals and organizations often come to us with similar questions. Many want to know what grants are available and how to get started—others simply need technical assistance. The resources listed below are here to help point you in the right direction. And, of course, never hesitate to get in touch with our Community Investment Team. We are here to help.

How to apply for a grant

To begin a grant application, click on and review the posted grant guidelines of the opportunity or opportunities that your organization is interested in within our Current Grant Opportunities tab, above, and follow all directions. Application may begin at any time during the open application period. The Grantmaking Committee will base its decision to fund upon the information provided in the applicant’s submitted materials. At its discretion, the Grantmaking Committee may also ask to conduct a site visit, request additional information about a proposal, or defer a request to another grant cycle.

Technical assistance

All applicants are invited to contact our Community Investment Team, to discuss a proposed project or application.

Applicants may request a draft review of their application materials by our Community Investment team prior to submission. To submit a draft review, email all materials to be reviewed as an attachment to grants@tfec.org.  Draft review requests are limited to one review of each grant opportunity and submissions must be received at least two weeks prior to the application deadline.
