Over the last year, The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC), has made several changes to the scholarship committee process to ensure that it is more equitable, objective, streamlined and accessible for students applying and committee members reviewing applications. We realize the implementation of these changes impacts each committee member. We thank you for your patience as we all navigate the changes together.
These changes include switching to Foundant’s Scholarship Lifecycle Management System (SLM), implementing a scoring rubric for all scholarship committees, required annual forms and new team members.
We saw great success with these transitions such as a 273% increase in student applications from the 2022 scholarship year to the 2023 scholarship year. Although we have identified areas in need of improvement and would like to get your feedback as it relates to these changes and the ease of use/helpfulness and ensuring an objective review process. The deadline for survey submission is September 30th.
