The LeTort Scholarship Fund

The LeTort Scholarship Fund is an endowment fund that provides scholarships to three distinct groups of individuals with a mission to empower deserving students in their educational journeys and cultivate a brighter future for all. The three groups are:

  1. Graduates from the Carlisle Area School District
  2. Graduating seniors from public high schools who have been a member of the Community Christian Fellowship Church for a minimum of two years
  3. GED students who have spent at least two years either within the Carlisle Area School District or as active members of the Community Christian Fellowship Church.

Scholarship FAQ

Criteria

  1. Eligible students are:
    1. Carlisle Area High School graduates (current or past) with at least two years as a student at the Carlisle Area School District
    2. A graduating public high school senior with at least two years as a member of Community Christian Fellowship Church
    3. GED students with at least two years as a student at the Carlisle Area School District or at least two years as a member of the Community Christian Fellowship Church
  2. Cumulative 2.5 grade point average minimum
  3. Fulltime student at a four-year, two-year college, university, trade or technical schools
  4. Extra consideration will be given to applicants in the foster care system and any student that has had any association with the LeTort Elementary School (attended, had a family member attend, etc.)
  5. Financial need
  6. Supplemental documents. This may include a resume, letter(s) of recommendation, transcript, FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR), or other scholarship-specific documents. Specific requirements are noted in the application.

Please write a 150-word essay about yourself including your goals and how you will pay this scholarship opportunity forward.

Renewability

Recipients of this scholarship may apply again for up to 3 consecutive years.  Students must submit a full application but may be prompted to complete a different essay.
