Criteria
- Student must be a recipient of a TFEC scholarship within the past 4 years
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning or technical school
- Must be experiencing a financial hardship that will hinder academic progress (some examples would include: financial hold on account, medical expenses, living expenses, and transportation)
- Must be able to show proof of expense and financial need
- Emergent situation must have occurred within the last 90 days or emergency expense is due within the next 90 days
- Supplemental documents. This may include a resume, letter(s) of recommendation, transcript, FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR), or other scholarship-specific documents. Specific requirements are noted in the application.
Renewability
Individuals may re-apply for consideration up to $1,500 by completing the full application process as long as they are eligible and have not met the maximum award limit.
