Michael joined TFEC as the Marketing & Communications Officer in December of 2020. Prior to TFEC, he spent the previous 12 years as the Director of Athletic Communications at Franklin & Marshall College. Michael is responsible for the planning and execution of TFEC’s communications plan. He will oversee the creation of all marketing and communication materials and assist with content creation for all print and electronic communications.
At F&M, Michael set and implemented strategic and comprehensive communication plans for 27 programs. He administered the official department website as well as messaging across all social media platforms, authored press releases and feature stories, and designed and prepared various printed collateral.
He created and oversaw a licensing policy for the entire institution, which improved revenue generation opportunities and reinforced brand standards. Michael developed a communication plan which drove fundraising efforts for a $19 million capital project, supported stakeholders during the process, and oversaw the design and construction of multiple areas of the project.
Blymier graduated from Millersville University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology with a focus in Graphic Design. He returned to Millersville a semester later for graduate school, earning a Master of Education in Sport Management. In 2021, he received an Advanced Social Media Strategy Certificate from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Hootsuite.
